Santa is here and he knows what you want most - more of my list!
In bad news, The Prophet has failed again, leading us to wonder if we've been following in the footsteps of a pretender. Next week shall determine it all.
As for Ryan, I'm up by 14, but you still have the best QB in football. Not looking too good. My only chance is if he throws all his TD passes to Finley.

"Watch The Throne" by Jay-Z and Kanye West
It shouldn't be a surprise that two of the best four rappers in the world combined to the make the best rap album of 2011. Jay-Z is no stranger to big time team ups, unfortunately "Best of Both Worlds" went about as well as the Nets attempts to land Dwight Howard. And that was with pre-piss R-Kelly! I wouldn't mind it if these two abandoned their solo careers and just made The Throne their permanent thing. Jay-Z works so well with Kanye's beats. This was established 10 years ago with "The Blueprint".

"Codes and Keys" by Death Cab For Cutie
Gotta love that guitar line for "You Are A Tourist". Death Cab have never failed to place outside my top 10 since 2005.. That being said, "Codes and Keys" may be their best work since "Transatlanticism". I love how this band keeps evolving. They could have settled into their little indie rock thing, but they've become so much bigger than that, and their sound has adapted accordingly.
More tomorrow? Maybe. Might wait until Boxing Day to start the top ten. Why? Cause it'll knock your socks off!

Happy Boxing Day everyone. I hope you gave gifts to your servants, I know I did. Let's get into the top ten albums of 2011.

"Audio, Video, Disco" by Justice
Wow! I dug Justice's "Cross Symbol That I Don't Know How To Make On A Mac" album, something felt like it was missing. Never could any of their fans have guessed that that something something was progressive rock! "What if we mixed House with Yes and Baba O'Reilly?" Oh that'd be great Justice, thank you.
Listen to that, it's like they're a completely new band. I love it. I totally understand why some of their fans were disappointed. It is certainly not what you expected after downloading, if downloading music was legal, of course. For me, it was better. Dance music has evolved far past "Cross....", so Justice had to evolve too.
Of course not everything is so much different. It's that kind of balance that makes "Audio, Video, Disco" the amazing album it is. It earns an honored spot in the top ten of 2011.
I might post #9 later tonight. Also will need to adjust my video game list to include Assassin's Creed "Revelations". Singles list is still a maybe. I honestly have no clue what was released as a single and what wasn't. Movie list will be posted when I see Mission Impossible and The Artist. TV after Boardwalk Empire (one episode), Breaking Bad (three episodes), and Homecoming.
Wow! Thanks for posting those YouTube videos, O, as I really quite like the new Justice. The prog elements are definitely there, for sure. This is really good! Nice choice, O!
