Wait, Adele should not be allowed to chart on the DVD chart since it's packaged with a CD. It should chart on the Hot 100 like Taylor Swift's, not on DVD like Gaga/Beyonce/Britney.

Adele's only counted for the DVD chart, Probably because you can buy it as a package unlike Taylor's that you can buy the CD alone..

It's more like how label wants to promote it. As a live CD with additional video material DVD or as Concert DVD with additional live CD.
@Amazon
Adele Live At The Royal Albert Hall (DVD/CD) - in Movies & TV -> Music Videos & Concerts section
Speak Now World Tour Live [CD/DVD] - in Music

Why don't they separate the sales then?
The single sales of Gaga's DVD went to the DVD chart and the bundled sales went towards the album chart.

Ah, this is probably how they differentiate between the two.

Michael Buble (Reprise) 250-275k
Adele (XL/Columbia) 120-130k
Justin Bieber (Island/IDJ) 120-130k
Drake (YM/CM/Universal Republic) 90-100k
Mary J. Blige (Geffen) 80-85k
Nickelback (Roadrunner) 70-75k
Rihanna (Def Jam/IDJ) 70-75k
Andrea Bocelli (Decca) 60-65k
Now 40 (Capitol/EMI) 50-55k
Coldplay (Capitol/EMI) 45-50k
Jackie Evancho (Syco/Columbia) 40-45k
Glee Christmas, Vol. 2 (Columbia) 40-45k
Daughtry (19/RCA) 35-40k
Lady Antebellum (Capitol Nashville) 35-40k
Susan Boyle (Syco/Columbia) 35-40k (12/1p)
Rihanna.

Um, that's a great hold. I thought she would fall worse tbh.
Sales always dip harshly for almost everyone the week after BF. Actually, Nickelback fell worse than her.
Susan is underperforming. Michael stole her spotlight this year maybe.

Susan really needs to start singing new material instead of covers and her songs need better arrangements. All she needs is a Celine Dion-esque power ballad (written by Diane Warren perhaps) and she'll go back to being a sales powerhouse. Right now her music sounds dreary and soporific. Her songs need to sound triumphant and inspirational.

I don't know about January, but in February with the Grammy, and hopefully her feeling better, she will snatch all the wigs even harder..

She definitely will get some additional nr# 1 in BB200 because usually begin of the year is lacking strong new releases and i don't think that she will fall below 60-70K till Grammys(IMHO after new year she will fall below 100K/week but not too much) and after Grammys she can rise again for 100+K. What will be enough to get some top spots.

I hope that at least it will save 2012 for having Nr# 1 albums with less than 50K sold. 2011 was awful at the beginning.
January 29, 2011 - 44'333 SHOWROOM OF COMPASSION - Cake
February 12, 2011 - 40'478 MISSION BELL - Amos Lee

I'm almost confident 21 will be selling over 40k in January. It could be more in the 60-70k range.
