I don't think you understand homelessness works.
This man is sleeping on the street, meaning he has NO ADRESS, no type of account or personal funds, he has NOTHING. He's barely eating and his health has gotten and will get progressively worse.
People who are homeless can't just get up and find a job and readjust to being functional working adults. They need some type of help to get back on the right path.

I knew about this homeless guy that was always in the streets near where I worked. His family helped him ALL THE TIME they even paid to some fancy restaurant to give him a good meal and I have seen them giving him soap and stuff but it is because of the drugs consumption he can't leave that world. It's like they were mean to live in the streets and consume drugs, and your family or nobody can help you.
I also know a lot of cases of actors and athletes that have ended up in the streets just because of the drugs, and they were rich!

What if he did something let's say 10 years ago and she cut all ties with him and all contact?

It disgust me when people draw to conclusions, talk and preach as if they really know how things are in depth.
There's a very similar issue in my family. And all i can say is that you just can't have a "black or white" position about it: "Madonna's such a **** for not helping him" or "Oh, he might be junkie". WHAT THE **** DO YOU KNOW apart from what a hollywood reporter article says?
Get a ****ing life and mind your own family issues, seriously.

Yes, if it's as simple as this article makes it seem, of course she should help. But what if she's given him money before and he just ended up squandering it again? We know NOTHING other than the fact that this guy talked to the media to get attention and make Madonna look bad. It's easy to judge her with such a narrow perspective on it.

So people are just assuming this guy is an addict? If he is, she should send him to rehab. If he's not, she should keep her brother off the street. It can't cost too much to buy a house in Michigan or give your brother the money to buy a house in Michigan.

Some of you guys are really horrible TBH.
We all have issues with family members, but no matter how negative my feelings are to someone in my family, ESPECIALLY someone in my immediate family (my mother & sister), I'd never let them live homeless if I had the power.
Just horrible. She owes him nothing? Mess.

Exactly.
I think it's disgusting that she won't help him out. If he has a problem of any kind, she should help him and she would be very capable of that, I'm sure. Or, she could help him by giving him a small amount of money. Nothing like a million dollars, but maybe just a little to get him by until he finds a job or something...?

If she hates him that much, then at least get him into a damn motel and keeping it moving. But to knowingly leave a sibling living in homelessness is just horrible.
