Oh God, people won't mention her because she is a ****ing monster..
She is ruling those sales, way better than Katy, GaGa and actual important pop starts
And yes I'm a Katy stan but I'm clear about this
She doesn't have a huge smash and she sold like crazy!
People can't compare her and other pop artists because Taylor will win (and I don't care if she is a Country-pop artist)
It's like when people say Gaga is the Queen, Rihanna is the queen.. Nah!
Taylor is destroying 'em!

It kinda is... Even country fans illegally download albums, especially the albums of country artists with mainstream/ crossover appeal like Taylor and Lady Antebellum...

I don't hate her, I just don't use her. 
Good for her that she's commercially successful, I can't ever be mad or pressed about that for anyone.

But Tay's mainstream audience is mostly little girls, and they don't download it illegally.

i don't like her new album that much, but i can't not like her. how can you call her ugly?? she is so pretty, probably in my top 10 in that category. coincidence most of my faves are also in that cat. ^^

Most of the people on here stan for singers who sing dance songs about sex and partying that they didn't write so when you get someone who sings beautiful meaningful songs that she put her heart into they call it **** because because they can't ***** pop to it.

Problem with her is that she's highly overrated. If she weren't so hyped up, people wouldn't dislike her so much.
When she wasn't so famous, I didn't have a problem with her. I was just kind of "eh...she's not my cup of tea...but she's not bothering anyone, soo...whatever." Then everyone started treating her like the second coming of God and people just got annoyed.
When she sounds her best, her vocals are average.
Her songwriting concepts, contrary to the popular opinion, are also average, tbh. (at least, imo.) Love and breakup songs are not hard to write and when you're an adult, it's usually better to have a larger variety of different concepts. When all you write about are boys, it's a bit childish.
I like to joke around on this forum and troll her, but I really don't hate her. I'm just annoyed by her.
As for songwriting, I do think she has a lot of potential. Her writing is not bad. Her concepts are. She has good wording (for the most part) and relatively catchy melodies. If she were to just write about something other than love, I'd probably respect her more as a songwriter because she does have talent.
Also, I don't buy the "sweetheart" thing. I think she's cute, but it's just curious that she's dated enough guys to write 3 albums about.
In a nutshell, she's just overrated. That's why people are annoyed.

I love Taylor, but she's a bit overrated.
I believe ATRLers are not seriously hating her (this era), because she hasn't have any huge crossover hits this era.

I'd just like to point out that not all of her songs are about boys and love, see: A Place In This World, Cold As You, Tied Together With A Smile, Fifteen, Breathe, The Best Day, Change, Mean, Better Than Revenge, Never Grow Up, Innocent, Long Live.
As for the "enough guys" part, people should keep in mind that...
1. some guys have multiple songs about them (Forever & Always + Last Kiss, Dear John + The Story of Us, Love Story + White Horse, etc.)
2. not every song is inspired by a guy that she actually dated (Fearless, Sparks Fly, Enchanted, Speak Now, You Belong With Me, Hey Stephen, Teardrops on My Guitar, Mary's Song, etc.)
Also, the "maturity" question... I guess that depends upon what one considers mature. For example, I consider Taylor to have more mature music and a more mature image than other artists who make a career out of songs about sex, partying and alcohol... Not everybody considers the same things mature.
