Honestly - this is pretty damn remarkable, if you think about it. January 2009 - JD peaked; now we're on single 11. Her career is just remarkable.
That's why, I'll never understand how people can discredit her accomplishments. You can dislike her as much as you want; no one's stopping you; but to say that she hasn't impacted pop culture and the music indstury very much is just trolling.
"Judas" would've had a higher Top 10 peak had it not been leaked + rush released.
The irony with "Judas" is that if pretty much any other artist (other than Katy) had released it and gotten the peak that it did, it would be considered a moderate-major hit.
Thoughts on her releasing "****," "Hooker," and "Heavy Metal Lover" now?
HML b/c it's a great song. But it won't do as well as Y+I. I never thought Y+I would go Top 10, but I did think it'd do better than all 3 of the above songs b/c of how it performed when the album was released.

Sis, the line to the cultural baptism is still way backed up.
We still have at least another half an era of singles to go.
If Gaga can make THIS a top 10 hit then people can stop doubting her now.
No song off Born This Way will flop if released. You&i was the least-radio-friendly song IMO and even YOU&i isnt doing bad on the charts.
If i was her I would now release black jesus. Make a ruckus with the most controversial song since judus & it'll still be a top 10 hit whether people like the song or not, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Hair is the next single. I'm not even gonna say MAYBE its the next single- NOPE. It's the next single. She promoted the hell out of theedgeofglory & you&i before their release ASWELL as hair. Hair is the only other song she performed live ALLOT I would not be surprised if she chose it as the next single- but I would be disappointed.

MTN for the next single.
HML, BM & GH as videos.
End of era.
But at the rate she's rushing out singles, the era would be over January.
Besides, non-fans really gravitate towards HML, Scheiße, and BM; I think all three could be pretty successful now, along with MTN and Hair.
That would make a total of nine singles that have 1) Already hit Top 10 or 2) Have a very good chance at hitting Top 10.
I want her to release 3 more singles and then end the era.
I would KILL for 3 more singles!
but I think we're only getting 1 more- 2 at max if we're lucky as hell.
She may even decide to end era after you&i. You know how unpredictable this hooker is- look how she ended TFM era after alejandro. She really is crazy for that. She needs therapy.
I must ask though, how come some of you thought "You & I" would flop? I honestly don't get it, as it is the best song of the album, was well received upon release and got a big VMA opening performance.

This I will never know.
"You and I" was always going to be one of the biggest hits from Born This Way from the start.
Even when she was doing radio interviews, the DJs were telling her the song would be huge.
I think that's why she'd eventually decided on releasing it.
