Maybe there's a reason she isn't critiqued as much She leaves a lot less to critique than the other girls. Her talent is undeniable and unquestionable, she doesn't rely on shock value to get things across, she doesn't do drugs, she doesn't swear very often, she isn't overly sexual, she has had zero public scandals. The fact of the matter remains that Beyonce is one of the most humble stars out there but she has EVERY right to be as cocky as she wants to be because NOBODY is seeing her right now and there is not ONE female in the industry right now that is on her level in terms of talent, accomplishments, awards, respect, critical acclaim, praise, and everything else. She spoke nothing but the truth. That's just how the cookie crumbles and dealing is the only option.

DEAD, since when did Beyonce get more heat?
Yes, she has this cookie cutter image, so she gets hate for that. But she is in no way bombarded by the press on the level of the others.
All the things you listed -- skin bleaching, song writing credits -- Rih's experienced too. Sis please. Then on top of that, coming into the industry as a new artist to face the media saying that she's ****ing her idol's boyfriend.

Who knows what she might say in an hour long sit down interview..... this is just a taste. Now is the perfect time. Why would some people be surprised at this article if it's true anyways?

Everything in this thread is a mess. My biggest problem is people saying that her humility and humbleness is gone. What? She is still thanking god for her life and career. She still respects and loves her fans. She still respects the other artists. What are ya'll talking about? Is it because she finally served the true tea?

The chatter surrounding Beyoncé's 4 has moved far away from the initial "wait, this thing doesn't have any singles" motif, partially because the album sold well and was reviewed positively despite said lack of singles, and partially because of the fall-out with her pops. But Beyoncé still seems a bit miffed that anyone, at any point, doubted her ability to produce hit songs. Here she is, explaining her process to Complex in a new cover story: "Everything sounds the same on the radio. With 4 I tried to mix R&B from the ’70s and the ’90s with rock ‘n’ roll and a lot of horns to create something new and exciting. I wanted musical changes, bridges, vibrata, live instrumentation, and classic songwriting.” Also: “I usually know from the hook if the song is something that transcends language, race, and genre, and if it’s something that affects pop culture. It’s something I can visualize people singing in stadiums all over the world. But my favorite songs on my albums are usually not my singles." In summation: She wasn't even trying to have a single on 4 because she doesn't even like them that much, but if she had tried, she totally would have had a huge one.

New York Times basically summed up the tea.

This bickering back and forth is irrelevant.
Considering the fact that she's regarded as a BLUEPRINT for what other female artists should be, no, she isn't lying.
