... all the more reason one video should have views than another? Earlier releases are an advantage. But I agree Irreplaceable is too early an example since it pre-dates the music videos going viral era.
Earlier releases sometimes don't have the advantage. Every second the industry is becoming more and more digitalized. Vevo/Youtube Music Videos are becoming more watched by millions by the day. If a song back from 2010 reached like 20 million views in one week most likely another popular song in 2011 will reach 40 million views due to exceeding popularity of music videos.

See my second post. The IA....SF era started around the same time as The Fame, so it definitely falls within the recent period of increased views. BTW will be another 100m+ view video, regardless.
You're not getting that having an older song is an ADVANTAGE when it comes to views (just like all those Gaga videos that are also years old and have 100m+ views), and Beyonce's IA....SF videos certainly fall within the YouTube era, so that's not an excuse.
Mind you Vevo stays reposting videos on Youtube resetting the views back. Look at BeyonceVevo on youtube they reposted Halo, Why Don't You Love Me, Naughty Girl, and Suga Mama resetting all those views.
Look
I know damn well Halo didn't come out March 11, 2011

How many views did Halo have before it was reset? I'm just wondering, and I did wonder what was up with some of those counts.
But still, YouTube/Vevo views is not exactly something you're going to be able to hold against Gaga, is my main point.

I'm not sure how many views it had prior to be quite honest.
I'm not trying to hold anything against Gaga....first of all it was a small joke. No shade at all...especially considering I own all of Gaga's music and listen to BTW everyday.
But let it be known Rebecca Black Friday does have more views...obviously it won't be like that for long.
