It's always ONE pressed Rih dummy fan in chart threads that happen to involve Bey. Like... hello?? Adele is #1 too?? Why aren't y'all coming for her and her 2016 sales/SPS?? I love how it hurts y'all to see Queen succeed... EFFORTLESSLY at that. She ain't doing **** and she's still winning aaaaaahhh

Adele's amd AMY'S slayage on Vinyl, along with 21P
Most sold albums in 2016:
1. Prince 2.23 million

Yeah but i think 25 got to #2 OAT already in january last year
I'd guess 21 is at 3.3 million and 25 at 2.6 million.
I think eminems recovery is still #3 but far behind

Had Rihanna been as careless about her single releases as Tidal was with her album, they wouldn't have anything to celebrate. She gave them nothing more than a little wig tug, which is why Bey swooped in with Formation to get the job done. They've been upset SINCE—restless nights and all. It's sad, and I feel bad because...well...we can't relate!

ADELE LEADS IN ALBUM SALES: For the second year, Adele’s 25 is the year’s top-selling album, with 1.73 million copies sold in 2016. In 2015, it finished at the top of the heap with 7.44 million. Thus, 25 is the first album to be the year’s top-selling album, twice, since Adele’s previous album, 21, did it in 2011 and 2012 (4.41 million and 5.82 million, respectively). In fact, 25 and 21 are the only albums in Nielsen history to be the year’s top seller, twice. (Nielsen began electronically tracking music sales in 1991.)
TOP 10 SELLING ALBUMS OF 2016 IN U.S.
Rank Artist, Title Sales
1 Adele, 25 1,731,000
2 Drake, Views 1,608,000
3 Beyonce, Lemonade 1,554,000
4 Chris Stapleton, Traveller 1,085,000
5 Pentatonix, A Pentatonix Christmas 904,000
6 Original Broadway Cast Recording, Hamilton: An American Musical 820,000
7 Twenty One Pilots, Blurryface 738,000
8 Prince, The Very Best of Prince 668,000
9 Rihanna, Anti 603,000
10 Justin Bieber, Purpose 554,000
Source: Nielsen Music, for the tracking period Jan. 1 through Dec. 29, 2016.
Amazingly, Adele has claimed the top-selling album in four of the past six years (2016, 2015, 2012 and 2011).
Adele is the only artist to notch the calendar year’s top-selling album four times since Nielsen Music’s first full year of tracking, back in 1992. (She was already the only act to do it three times.)
25’s total sales now stand at 9.17 million, since its release on Nov. 20, 2015. It is the 30th biggest-selling album in Nielsen history. 25 was one of four million-selling albums in 2016, down from seven in 2015.

And if we are going to twist and play the 'limitation' card, then we can add those 1.4million copies of ANTI that were downloaded to the table either way, ANTI era as a whole was bigger (and is still on-going), there is no ignoring that at this point.

girl shut up.
This chart isn't about ANTI era as a whole. Billboard already did that with their YE chart which counts radio, streaming, singles, album sales, and touring and Rihanna was a cool #6. While Beyonce was at #4.

hmm interesting, I was told lemonade was dominating, but as its era is over and Anti is still performing well, it will surpass it easy soon, due to the small gap
I guess talent does win in the end

Still higher without free streams and hit singles
And made much more money $17 album, 256M tour

Adele is, Beyoncé isn't.
Why do y'all keep making it seem like Bey is on Adele level when it comes to album sales? 25 sold 3M first week in the US, Lemonade sold 2.6M WW in 8 months. And 25 sold more in 2016 despite being released last year. Can't compare.

They are top 2 female this year.
Bey sold 1,55M albums with a $18 price, that's more than 2.5x what the next girl sold ( 600k with cheaper price).
If she isn't slaying then other girls must be flops.
Funny fact: other girls ( except Adele) barely outsell Lemonade 1st week sales ( pure sales ) with their total sales.
