She doesn't always get away with it. She was hounded for weeks for singing to a backtrack at the inauguration. She also puts effort into making her lip syncing not noticeable. I saw a video of Britney just sitting on the stairs at her Vegas show lipping to the CD.

Beyoncé did sing live at the inauguration, there was just a pre-recorded track playing with her. In some of the videos you can hear her live voice as well. Let's not act like she does what Britney does every night and barely move her lips, making no sound whatsoever. She was actually singing.

Even if you post a video where Beyonce isn't singing live, most people won't be able to tell because of how good she is at faking it. That's how she gets away with it.

Yeah, it was actually really cool because she was spot on in mimicking every detail of her precious vocals. Every note, every vibrato, every crescendo, every run. It was found it that there were two records based on the fact that her scarf was making popping noises in the live version but not the recording version.

There are hours worth of live vocals from every tour and era making this entire post, invalid.

It was because it's the National Anthem. She got 0 coverage for other lip synching performances because nobody noticed, or cared because she put in a good show.

No I never said what she does is what Britney does at all, I defended her in this thread. But I was just saying the difference between that performance and Whitney's. She might have been singing along but in the live TV broadcast, we just heard the prerecorded track and she knew that.
