Even though I always end up loving whatever Calvin serves, I remember groaning at the same time when I heard this one was coming out cause his bops are always so Euro-pop and generic, and not gonna lie this was no better, but nonetheless I used constantly for MONTHS and still give it the odd spin. It’s so simple, but the repetitive “you-ooh-ooh-ooh” by Rih’s (hyper-edited) flawless vocals just serve so much life and fun. Have been in a club and must say this goes AWF like you wouldn’t believe.
I actually had high hopes for this Rih/Calvin collab since We Found Love was THAT single
it didn't live up to my expectations but it's still a bop nonetheless
So the story goes I was dating this adorable little Kazakhstani boy, and after playing the entirety of Glory and Joanne I finally decided it was time for him to choose some music. So he went and searched for this artist Honne who I’d never heard of, but now I end up loving. “Good Together” is such a beautiful romantic song that one day I hope to listen to and feel like it encapsulates how I feel about another man, but for now, it’ll just have to inspire wishful thinking and the hope that someday I’ll feel that way. Unfortunately me and that boy didn’t work out, but he remains a cutie and somehow I managed to cut the ties without him hating me. The power of honesty I guess!
Invitation made your list really good opening for ok-album

TIWYCF I low-key hated this song at first listen, but it's grown on me so much
Didn't like TIWYCF at first but it grew on me quite a bit. Good Together though . My favorite song of theirs so far and their material so far has been pretty good.
Ugh why did legend have to come SO hard with the 1-2 punch of EMOTION and then Side B – I’d only just collected my wig and glued it back on when she came through like a southerly gust and SWIPED it right back of my head! Saving me money in haircuts I guess. Legend really did THIS song, she SANG it and SERVED it to the petty, disgusting and ungrateful piles of filth that we are because she is actually a goddess destined to save our souls, and rescue us from the swine-esque Trump and Brexit supporters.
This is pop perfection – and this is why so many of us love Carly. She just makes fantastic, refreshing, exciting, happy and fun music that we can all just listen to, and enjoy. Every artist doesn’t need to be serious and political – and I’m glad we always have Carly as a safe, reliable haven.
