somehow i'm not really surprised like i was with Usher's album sales...20k was shocking (although he ended up selling more)

i did expect her to do a little better like 50-65k b/c she is on the Voice & back to her usual formula of Nov-Dec releases.

All these OGHs trying to prove me how the chart is actually ordered somehow and how Alicia has a massive carrer, is more relevant than Gaga and is INDEED outselling her digitally. A mess

Even David Crosby (which had about 30 album reviews as opposed to Joanne's 1k+) was placed higher on that list, yet none of the OGHs would aknowledge that these placements aren't indeed a chart.

At least we can put on rumour to rest with all these

Traditional R&B in general is dead. Even Usher who used to be a huge album seller is flopping. Unless your name is Beyoncé, R&B artists won't sell much.

Well technically they are album equivalent units, not sales. No one's pretending that streams = sales. It's like the Hot 100 where Billboard is sorting albums based on popularity, and popularity is based not only on sales but also on streaming.

Don't Let Me Down & All We Know combined pulled ~11M on-demand streams last week, so it's not just Closer.
