what?? you're saying it should be pronounced as it's spelt, and then adding "UH" it's impossible not to add a vowel sound

When you say the letter m on its own you pronounce it "muh". It's just like that but with a c after.

you're confusing how you read mc as the "right" way. the restaurant is named after an american, it's pronounced mick-donalds. this is a brand name, not a dictionary word... idk how you can even argue this

That's completely different. ph and th are completely new sounds, whereas mc is just two separate consonant sounds one after another. Basically whenever you have a syllable with no vowel (or y) you pronounce it with no vowel, e.g. the second syllable of rhythm is just pronounced thm, you wouldn't say "rhy-thim".

it's irrelevant.. some people read mc as "meek" too, doesn't really matter. again, this is an american brand.. not a dictionary word. it's like telling a french person the RIGHT way to pronounce france is how americans pronounce it
