Closer will obviously still be #1 after this week, but another 7 weeks after that to break the record or even 6 weeks to tie it seems unlikely, even with the video effect. Starboy is catching up fast. Maybe with a discount two weeks after the video and then an AMAs performance could secure it though.
I still think they won't do it and it helps Mariah that they releasing the video with 7 weeks left (I thought they would release it after after week 12 at #1. But hopefully Starboy reaches #1 in the next 4 weeks.
