I've only seen great reviews, they just said it was not cool from MTV to make her perform after Beyonce's 16min performance but they all wrote Brit's performance was great
They gave Beyoncé a 15 minute time slot with songs nobody knows then threw Britney on stage for less the two minutes as her follow up it seemed like sabotage
The numerous media outlets saying it was flat and terrible
Could you post the receipts ? Cause I've honestly didn't see even one bad...
I've only seen positive reviews from her performance, and it was a fun and good performance. And the song "Make Me..." has received a boost and is 2 in the US right now.
Britney emerged from behind a silk screen in a sheer bodysuit, showing off her enviable assets just barely hidden by a few well-placed yellow crystals. No doubt about it: the pop princess looked absolutely flawless, giving us all the best "Oops!... I Did It Again" fashion vibes from her unforgettable showing in 2000… The 34-year-old added yet another delightfully sultry performance to her VMAs resume…
…the VMAs are always about the spectacle. And no one knows that more than Britney Spears, Her version of “Make Me” with rapper G-Eazy showed that her comeback is now complete.
Britney Spears made her grand return to the 2016 MTV VMAs after nine years away from the stage, and it was worth the wait. Although many have been lucky enough to catch her highly successful Las Vegas show, tonight fans who haven't made the trek to her residency definitely received an incredible slice of it.
Oops!…She did it again. Britney Spears’ epic performance of ‘Make Me’ at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will surely go down in history as one of the most iconic moments of all time for the network. But let’s be real — it’s Britney, bitch, so we didn’t expect anything less.
Britney Spears’s VMA Comeback Is A Total Throwback To 2000... Spears took to the 2016 VMAs stage with rapper G-Eazy to perform the lead single off her latest album (read: masterpiece), Glory, and it was a glorious mix of old Brit (sparkly nude bodysuit!) and new. It's no easy task to follow Beyoncé, but Britney Spears did what she does best: She served us slinky dance moves and lots of personality.
Britney Spears makes triumphant return to VMAs stage... the pop superstar rewrote the narrative with a performance that displayed how much of a pro she still is nearly two decades into her career.
I think she needs to a) Fire her coreographer; b) Improve her performing skills; or c) Retire and save her legacy/status. She can't keep doing this and you all agree with me deep down.
This.
I stopped stanning for her 3 years ago but I was rooting for her to do well and once again she was disappointing. Everyone knows she lip syncs but the problem is how she didn't even bother to at least prerecord her vocals and the 2nd part of the performance when she came came out with a mic was just pathetic.
I'm sorry, but she deserves it. PLUS more.
The performance was boring, she doesn't even try to hide the fact that she isn't singing.
I can't believe people actually pay money too see this live.. But she's Britney Spears
so people are gonna love her regardless.
I feel like the performance was OK for the standards of her Las Vegas show, but for a VMA stage it was really lackluster. Especially considering this was supposed to be something special, her return after 10 years.
The numerous media outlets saying it was flat and terrible
Well good thing that the negative comments I've seen have been reserved to this site! Granted I haven't gone searching for opinions on it as I saw it myself.
