Glory is the continuation of In The Zone. Revival is a weak attempt at ITZ.

It seems like that influence belongs to Ms. Spears and Ms. Gomez just happened to plant herself in the middle of the road (yes, that means two things) between the projects.

Britney was heavily invovled in In The Zone and Glory. She even has production credits on both and fought her label to go for the sound employed on both records.

These songs didn't just magically appear before her. She had to go out and actively seek a sound and find the producers who could help her get to that point. Were you absent in 2003 when she cut Max Martin for the first time and her indie label was scrambling because they worried about the commerciality of the product?

No lies spotted Mattman & Robin & Sir Nolan deserve credit for basically shaping the sound of the record. And Julia & Justin deserve it for helping Selena create the motifs and lyrical landscape that she envisioned. It's crazy how people disregard producers so much. like, what's the use of a good melody and some good lyrics without the sound?

It's a current sound. And Britney worked with the same team that Selena worked for Revival (Justin + Julia + Nick, Mattman & Robin) so obviously there are some similarities.

Also, the 1st time i've heard of Justin Tranter + Julia Michaels was in Good For You. I remember she posted pics with them and everything. Months later and now they are writing for almost every pop singer.

I remember when Revival was released and i thought that some tracks would work really well for Britney. I'm glad she went through that direction because Glory is a great album.

It was more like a group of writers/producers (pretty much Julia Michaels + Justin Tranter) worked heavily on this album, found commercial success from it and then went to work heavily on a bunch of other albums and songs.

It's not like writers/producers and singers heard the album and were inspired to steal a bit of its sound, but more like the same people involved went on to make more similar music with different artists.

To sum it all up, I wouldn't necessarily say that Revival's musically influential but that it's rather a slightly updated version of a sound that had already existed. I don't know if that makes sense but yeah. The sound was always there, Selena just became the final straw in helping usher it into the mainstream and thus commercializing it. Commendable though and the sound absolutely works her

Also, I can't with people still denying the fact that Good For You sounds like a Lana song. Like...
