Glory is the continuation of In The Zone. Revival is a weak attempt at ITZ.
It seems like that influence belongs to Ms. Spears and Ms. Gomez just happened to plant herself in the middle of the road (yes, that means two things) between the projects.

Britney was heavily invovled in In The Zone and Glory. She even has production credits on both and fought her label to go for the sound employed on both records.
These songs didn't just magically appear before her. She had to go out and actively seek a sound and find the producers who could help her get to that point. Were you absent in 2003 when she cut Max Martin for the first time and her indie label was scrambling because they worried about the commerciality of the product?
