Aquarius is amazing. However, I don't think she has the IT factor. There's nothing memorable about her. I think she tried to go pop too quickly, without completely establishing herself. She's extremely talented and I hope she takes off. She's just missing key elements.

Initially, I hadn't given her a chance because the only time I heard about her is when Beyoncé comparisons were made. I remember going to her Twitter page to check her out, and she retweeted/liked an article that basically said she was here to replace Beyoncé. Based on first impressions, that obviously wasn't a good start. Eventually, I heard 2 On, and I was here for it. I also saw a live performance of hers—I can't remember which one—and I was here for that as well. Since then, I haven't bothered to take the time out to check out her music. Song recommendations are more than welcome though.

Her label, not just for not promoting her and doing what a label suppose to but for not developing her. Early performance were atrocious. when i saw her perform at the BET awards and Wendy William i taught she was another talentless hag.

Wrong single choices ( 2on hurt her more than it help and Pretends was just horrendous follow up)

Promotion ( barely any)

Her trying to cross over to pop way to soon

Her dumbing her sound in order to cross to pop

The big producers she work with that keep giving crappy material and is force to release them because of the name attach to those songs. She need to work with upcoming/rising producers until she made it.

How did 2 On hurt her? That was a huge rhythmic smash, everyone I know doesn't know Tinashe but knows that song

Saying that "compromising her sound" hurt her is silly. Was she really supposed to "blow up" singing those boring lullabies on her mixtapes? Is that what was really supposed to propel her to superstardom? Geez.

Most of this is true but 2 On made her more well-known so I wouldn't say it was a mistake. Plus it's easily the most accessible single on Aquarius especially as there was a lot of hype around DJ Mustard at the time.

Where it all went wrong as when Pretend was released. That completely killed the era. It should have been:

2 On as the lead single
All Hands On Deck as the second single
Feels Like Vegas as the third single

Those three above were the only single material on the album.

i meant in the sense it made her look like any basic girl out there with no talent. people weren't checking or interested in anything pass 2on when it come to her.She was put in a box because of it and her poor single choice made it worse.

Atrl and their reading comprehension " Too Much Compromise". Everybody know she need to compromised in order to achieve mainstream success. There is nothing wrong with her sound and her sound was evolving it just need to have mainstream appeal to succeed. She dumb /water her sound so much were her songs sound like any outdated no originality no personality track out there and she can afford to be release those material cause no-one will take her serious and she won't happen. The weeknd compromises but he never lost what made him special and dumb/water down his music too much where they sound like outdated album fillers by any of the basic girl/boy out there.
