And I know she will sell well in the long run, I never said she won't.

"Bad Romance" not hitting number one was just a matter of luck, competition, one-week sales etc. It has sold more than "3", "Down", "Empire State of Mind", "Rude Boy", "Whatcha Say" etc. and they all were number ones. So what's your point?

I don't think Duca was trying to shade Gaga(for a change
![laugh](images/smilies/images/smilies/laugh.gif)
), he was just stating that her new may not hit #1 like BR. The thread is about #1 in Xmas, so longevity and total sales are irrelevant to the subject.

Lady GaGa is much more popular this year than she was last year. Her following is growing with time so it's realistic to expect her first single to go to#1. BR sold like a #1 even if it didn't top the Hot 100, it went to #1 on iTunes.
IIWAB didn't go to #1, that was the first single from IA...SF. ![eli's_rhythm](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/eli_zps0932edf9.gif)

Exactly!! All Gaga's singles on the other hands were aiming the same audience, that's why BR failed and also the competieion was seriously strong at the moment.
