Ok, so this album is a MASSIVE grower.

A few listens in, I now see all of the details in the songwriting and the arrangements. Such a golden record. So well-written. Crystallise and Unrequited are standouts. The trumpets in Hush Little Voices are so beautiful. I liked the record on first listen too, but it sounds so much better now.

Just finished listening to this for the first time, and I've got to say it's a very solid album. She's serving divine vocals and some very interesting influences here and there, although I guess the songs could kind of blend together if you're not in the right mood.

Wild Forever, Hush Little Voices, Here Comes The Rapture, Come With Us, My Puppet Heart, and Unrequited are amazing. I'm not too sold on the other half yet, but they could be growers, I'll definitely give them some more listens.

I dunno what you guys were talking about on "boring" "samey" or "filler" The nerve. FYI, filler is a term for songs that are made to fill up an album's length due to a core few singles already being chosen, to cash in on them. There's no "big single" on this album,

The only bad song is Cassandra, but I also got rid of Death of Love because it got on my nerves. The rest are really fabulous. It's her best album overall, probably, I'd say the *least* filler she's ever done and the evolution from frivolous dancefloor girl to whimsical singer-songwriter has been AMAZING. Her writing evolved so much during Wanderlust and I'm really glad she's continued.

She truly went from forgettable UK chart fodder onto an interesting journey with these last 2, Ed Harcourt deserves so much praise.

I honestly can't stop listening to this, it's a masterpiece. Now HCTR is my fave!

I was the biggest fan of 'Wanderlust' but I can't seem to get into 'Familia' at all.

I loved the first single but it's not happening for me.
Hopefully it still clicks otherwise it's the first Sophie album that's not for me.

Which is weird since I own all her other albums in physical copies and her sophomore album was also a little weird to most of the GP but I still loved it.

Crossing my fingers that it grows on me like that one but yeah... we'll see.

So I was a week late when I heard this Friday but I'm in love with this album, it's super amazing. All the near-mariachi instrumentals are so good.

I'm petty happy to skip Crystallise and The Saddest Happiness but not so much because they're bad songs, more so I can get to the rest. Wild Forever, Here Comes the Rapture, and Unrequited are some of my favourite songs of the year I'm totally snatched.

I got my signed CD & vinyl in the mail today, no doodles tho. The packaging on the CD is unbelievably pretty. It's this gorgeous red little BOOK with lyrics and photos. It's like a mini coffee table book, I love it.




She's so slept on.
