Cut it out. The point is that you know how some media outlets and their audiences are with racial labels when it comes to crime.
White = Mentally ill, troubled/misguided teen, brats, hate crime, racist, white trash
Black = Thug, hoodlum, gangster, n*ggers, savages, animals, monkey
Latino/Hispanic = Immigrant, (see blacks)
Asian = Mentally ill, emo, etc.
Muslim = Terrorist, etc.
In this case it's a hate crime to some and to others he's mentally ill. If he was black he's a thug, it's black on black crime and being mentally ill wouldn't even be a question for him even if he was. It is what it is.
