Yes the boost was due to Easter.
It also dropped 65% the week after that.

Anyway, I still think that while it's unlikely, he might sell 700k. I wouldn't be too surprised.

All I'm saying is the numbers aren't in your favor. Even his remix album sold over 100K the second week.

Well you should take into account that the more people buy it the first week, the less will buy it the second. It might not drop as much as Born This Way or MDNA, but I wouldn't be surprised with at least a 50% to 60% drop. Perhaps not the 80% the other poster suggests, though - that would surprise me a little.

Mistletoe opened decently, and hovered around the 15-30 range until it posted the highest yearly sales of a holiday track in Soundscan history. It's also the fourth best-selling.

Several of his other tracks had no notable peaks on the Hot 100 and reached Platinum after months of holding steady on the iTunes charts.

Boyfriend had the second-biggest debut in history and has yet to fall out of the top 10 on iTunes after 3 months. It's currently gaining airplay.

Of course it matters... Honestly you can't blame the rule change. Fun. had a tremendous lead against Bieber that it was impossible to beat. And if I recall all the songs on the top 10 were slaying...
