Jay is one of the few hip hop artists to last this long and be able to go platinum and he did it by latching onto pop artists. He's keeping himself relevant, because that's what hip hop artists do when they've got nothing important to rap about and lose a lot of their fans due to ******** lyrics. Like Eminem and his many Rihanna features.
Rock artists have the longest shelf life, then pop/R&B artists, then hip hop.
It's a known fact.
