I don't want him to push the album up. The date works well since it gives him time to drop one really huge mainstream-orientated single to really boost the hype for the album itself, plus as said earlier in the thread the release date allows for lots of promo opportunities during release week/month.

Oh yeah... It's a good song. He might have a solo version on the album which we all will love and listen to but it prolly won't get the single treatment ever.
