I'm not a Madonna super fan, but how do you know it wasn't gaga? Do you know her personally?

Turns out, Lady Gaga's claims that Madonna emailed her support were not actually true. Not that we're stirring or anything...

Since unveiling new single 'Born This Way', the resounding criticism has been that it bears an uncanny resemblance to Madonna's 'Express Yourself'. And lest we should forget who pushed those envelopes first, Madonna has since uploaded a video of her 1989 MTV Awards performance of 'Express Yourself' onto her official YouTube channel.

But Lady Gaga was adamant that there was no bad blood between her and the original 'Material Girl' claiming that Madonna had even sent her an email to offer support telling Jay Leno: " I got an e-mail from her people and her sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single."

Well it's any wonder a raging inferno didn't abruptly begin and set her expensive pants on fire, because it has since been confirmed that Madge has not sent anything of the sort. Madonna's rep has told CNN's Headline News Entertainment that she is unaware of any email that Madonna has sent.

The plot thickens... Gaga is yet to make any comments about the email denial and Madonna is yet to publicly give 'Born This Way' the seal of approval.
