I'm 22 and I'm white. I'm concerned for younger members of the LGBT community who use the app for chats and for someone to talk to about what they're going through and what they're feeling. That's what I did 5 years ago. I wasn't looking for hook-ups. I just wanted someone to talk to. I can only imagine how much worse that would have been if I was Asian or Indian and was getting bullied in real life, only to find the app and get excluded on there too. Yeah most people on there are just there for hook-ups but they should have enough awareness to realise there are younger gays on there just looking for someone to talk to, who they're making feel inferior.

At people saying having a preference is wrong . Now you can't choose what do you prefer because it may be hurtful to someone? Lol. And that gay dating app excuse .... If you enter an app that asks for your interests and your physical appearance don't expect everyone to be open for a conversation. Most of them want to hook up because it's mainly for that.

One thing is to have a preference, ans other thing is being racist/xenophobe/etc.. Learn to separate things from each other

I've dated girls, I've dated guys. I've used online tools for both.

I promise you that #NoFats, #NoFems will appear in far more men for men profiles, than in heterosexual profiles.

The Gay community is far more superficial when it comes to things in the physical than heterosexuals.

Matters of race though, I found are about even to more of a problem for hetero dating.

Very true. Unfortunately, I don't know if that stigma will ever go away; the whole "bottom-shaming" thing has been around even since the Roman Empire, where it was perfectly acceptable to be a (bisexual) top, but consenting to bottom was punishable by law for certain social classes iirc.
