We are talking about sales or gossip sites? I don't get it. Demi sold a pretty good amount of records this era. So people in UK heard of her in a way or in another way. How can you deny it? I couldn't care less if people talk more about Ariana or Demi.

And Up is way more a duet than WA. Demi is here for half of the song. People are buying the song for Demi too

even if Olly is bigger than Demi in UK, and that's for sure. That song is giving her exposure. So your sentence "She's out of radar", is totally invalid.

Except that she is, and not only with this era but in general. Ariana does mostly R&B sounding music which sort of makes her more of an US act, she might have hit singles in other countries but most of her sales will be US based and she is more talked about in the US, whereas with Demi she's known a lot thanks to Disney, she's just more recognizable. I'm from Italy and Ariana is everywhere on the radio, while Demi is not.

Demi is not known outside of the US and Brazil. That's a fact. Her album sales aren't impressive in any country and her singles haven't smashed like Ariana's have anywhere in the world. Please don't embarrass your fanbase like this, you sound rather delusional.

Ariana has already outpeaked Demi in every single aspect. That's just the way it is I'm sorry.

@ Demi stans having to use re-release + feature from a huge UK popstar and a song from Frozen to make Demi stats in UK seem impressive

It depends on how you define being 'global'. Some people interpret the notion of being 'global' as selling/shipping more records outside of their predominate market, and due to DEMI selling more outside of the US than within it, I guess it could be argued that Demi is more global (but she really isn't).

1. My Everything has sold more WW than it did in the US.
2. While a lot of Ariana's albums tracks are RnB inspired, her singles from ME aren't really
3. All of Ariana's singles this era (besides LMH) have sold 1M - 2.5M outside of the US (the same can't be said for Demi)
4. Even without the numbers it doesn't take much to realize that Ariana is far more global. She was a US act during her YT era, but she's one of the most International pop stars of the year.

You can keep whatever theory you have about Demi being more recognizable because of Disney I guess, it doesn't mean anything if they forgot who she was or don't know if she's still releasing music/acting ever since she went to rehab in 2009
