I did the same thing you did but I just cannot get into her. And I wanted to try to get into her music but not like "omg, I want to get into her so bad!!" since I find her so overrated, same as Grimes and those artists.

I think Gods Cradle is pretty approachable along with Triumph Of A Heart (I find it overrated tho)

Anyway I agree with the others saying it's not a big deal if you don't like her. I don't understand why people would try SO hard to get into an artist they know is not for them and it happens with Bjork so often.

Took me ages as well. Until finally Joga hit something somewhere and I got into Homogenic as a result. Then post and then it was all like a breeze. You just need to train your ears. Music taste is an acquired taste. U r not born with it.

well I may have worded it wrong
I guess, for example, I just can't get into screamo, while some people find that amazing.
I have seen so many people raving about Bjork, and I tried so many songs and none clicked. If none clicked I'm not going to repeat those over and over, they just didn't do it with me

But I guess you could say that some music definitely needs some time getting used to, but I just can't get used to Bjorks music

Yeah I suppose but TOAH can be a bit annoying and everything on Post is more accessible

I'd say I had an easy time with her at first. Didn't love her or anything, but I liked her overall and really got into some of her songs (Hunter, Bachelorette, I Miss You, Pagan Poetry, Joga, Play Dead etc).

I still need to try again to really get into her, tho.

But yes, I'd recommend Post for a new listener like a few others have already mentioned here.

I started out with Debut and my biggest thing was about her voice cause she sounded so weird, otherwise it was nice enough to me. After listening to the album again and Post + Homogenic I was hooked on her.

She's definitely not for everyone just like any other artist.
