Plus Beyonce fans usually consider the huge-selling Destiny's Child album sales as Beyonce's sales lol, because she was the star of the group and most of the sales were thanks to her star power.

I personally don't attribute DC3 to Beyonce. In the objective sense she hasn't sold to the amass of DC3. And if some want to say she is practically the group then that means she has no consistency to go from 11 million to under 3 million. Since that is the way they view her contemporaries. And yes it's true she hasn't had a serious flop, yet! Then again those who have had one had them way later in their careers while Beyonce, the solo artist, is only on her 3rd album.
I guess consistency is an appropriate word for her sales, but I personally wouldn't push it so far to insult other artists who happened to be around for the big sales to see the dramatic decline. Alicia would be more appropriate an example. Seeing her debut was in 2001, it sold just over 6 million and now her last album sold almost 4 million.

sis it was at 4.720 000 4 months ago. Billboard pubblished it in their catalogue. check your facts

Lmao, dont worry, Beyonce will eventually have a flop album, when and if she decides to take "creative control" of her music, she'll flop. Look at Rihanna, hit after hit, and now her career is hanging by a thread, unable to get a hit song, only because she went into a different direction. People like Rihanna, Beyonce and Britney are meant to make generic radio friendly pop music, the public doesnt want to see anything else from them. They have a formula they follow. So as long as they release the same crap over the same overproduced beats produced by the hit makers of the moment, they'll stay afloat.

But thats actually what is required of POP artists. They make generic pop songs, which are appealing to a wider public, so they work with the producers who can create these generic catchy pop songs. We are on a popular music forum, which means we are fans of this type of music so we shouldn't be the ones complaining, and even mine and your fave to some extent can be grouped together with the artists you listed, even though they have tried to somehow distinguish themselves creatively, but it backfired on them, so I think they will go into the same direction as the others.

There are pop artists that strive to grow, and then there are pop puppets who remain in the same place for ten years just because they are comfortable there. Personally, I have more respect for people who take risks. Look at madonna, her career is based on reinvention and as much as i dont like her music I have to give credit where credit is due. She earned that queen of pop title. Beyonce is an excellent performer and she also deserves all the success, she works hard as hell, i just think she will flop if she takes different direction with her music. Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Rihanna all flopped when they took a different route with their music but that doesnt take away from the fact that they were brave enough to take those artistic risks as any true artist would and should at some point in their careers.

B'Day is a GREAT album. It's not ******, loud, oversung, or ghetto. Some idiot really doesn't know what ghetto is. How was B'Day ghetto??
@ hungry4xtina: Bey is on top because she's makes great music, she's has tremendous talent, she can SING her ass off, and she dance and perform her ass off. She is not some talentless broad like every other chick. I'm sorry Christina can't get on top or get some attention period, but that ain't Bey's fault. Oh wait, yes it is. STAY MAD.
At least Xtina is guaranteed to always have her comfy spot in Britney's shadow, and that is sad.

The worse for Bey, Ri and Brit, is that they would flop with a generic radio friendly pop song like some others
