Seems she does not care so much about her music this time around, I mean you can see it in the interviews, there's a lack of excitement when talking about her album

No. The Superbowl is not the platform to have your "controversial moment." I know it was tempting for MIA (sooo many eyes on her) but it's just tacky and desperate. Madonna gave her the amazing opportunity to be seen by hundreds of millions of people, and she abused it. You don't even have to be interesting in your provocation to cause controversy at the Superbowl - all you have to do is something as trite and boring as raising your middle finger. It's that easy. Madonna could have done it too, but instead she honored the tradition of the Superbowl. I'd like to see MIA steal the spotlight by being controversial at a place like the VMAs, where everyone is trying to out-shock each other and where a middle finger would only elicit yawns. Madonna has been able to do it twice.
