It's definitely not high. Anywayz, I guess the only way for Fox to keep The O.C. alive was if it had had at least 6 million audience per week. Something kinda impossible when they knew it was going against Grey's Anatomy and CSI. So, that's clear to me that what they really wanted was to get rid of The O.C., and the best way to do it without fans protesting like hell was the excuse of bad ratings.

The United States has 300 million+some people in Population (not including the illegal undocumented immigrants, that's another 20-some million

)
Round up the # of superbowl viewers to 50 million, and basically seen: Around 1 person for every six people here in the US watches the superbowl. (50 mil/300 mil = 1/6)

Take this same idea to American Idol: Currently at least 1 in 10 Americans watch that show here in our country.
