I'm using the IFPI reports (a credible source) - it clearly states SL sold 6.1m in the 2010 IFPI report (which you can google). Whereas Telephone sold 7.4m according to the IFPI report in 2011. So if we were to use these facts Telephone sold more. I find it hard to believe SL sold 3m more after 3 years.

At that time Single Ladies has sold 3 million in the U.S. alone, 2 years later it's over 5 million in the US.
