NICKI BASHING THE OTHERS AT NO. 140
Nnnn;; Nicki Minaj enters this Best of 2012 with her most hated song ever, yes, this is surprising, it lasted 14 weeks on the ATRL Hot 100 and peaked at no. 27. The song's music video has more dislikes than likes on YouTube, and had more negative comments than good comments on ATRL; it even caused a lot of hardcore Barbz stop stanning for their queen. So, this song had more of a bad impact, but anyways it made it through the Best of 2012.
ATRL WAS KIND OF ADDICTED TO SHAKIRA IN 2012
Yes, one of the most important Latin artists in the world made it to the list, Shakira enters at no. 139 with her last single off "Sale el Sol". Even though the song's title is in English the song is totally sung in Spanish (well, except the title part). The song only peaked at no. 45, courtesy of an almost 100% support of Latin members.
BRUNO IS LOCKED IN THE BEST OF 2012
Another recently released song that managed to appear on this year's Best Of --and that will, most likely, appear high in 2013's Best Of--, Bruno's "Locked Out of Heaven" has stayed 9 weeks on chart and peaked at no. 17 (so far), but the song has been increasing in points each week, so it will reach, at least, a Top 10 peak (of course, that will be part of his 2013 points).
FOOTBALL MARKING THIS 2012
Totally expected, we cannot make a Best Of 2012 without the most popular songs, and this is, of course, one of those, "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" was a global hit (well, it didn't do THAT well on the U.S.). Michel Teló's song fell shy of the Top 30 on the ATRL Hot 100, but it topped the Latin Top and Tropical Songs charts for several weeks, so it was one of the biggest Latin smashes of the past year (well, we're still in 2012 but you know what I mean...).
Loving these, well, the fact that they're out early! Ai Se Tu Pego I'm surprised to see, and wish I didn't. The verses are the same, and the hook is so basic.
