I thought the same thing about it sounding like Heat! Luckily nobody in the US really knows it. And as for the repetitive factor, I felt that way first listen, but second listen it was much better (I guess because you're not expecting a huge change in melody for the chorus). PLUS Single Ladies seemed super repetitive at first but repetitive is good in the case of becoming catchy
