I never said they didn't have lite versions. But Mini was being used as an example, for the wrong comparison.

I don't know what you mean with "high resolution", but Samsung released his HD screen 2 years ago, Apple has YET to even release his first one.
And while Apple is busy still catching up, we're about to get an Ultra HD phone.

The Retina was the first high resolution screen for a phone.
No phone with a HD screen has come close to the iPhone 4, 4S, 5's sales.
It would seem people want high-res, but HD or 2k isn't the main thing on the wishlist for light entertainment on phones right now.
But on the iPad 3 - Air and iPad Mini Retina, it's more sought after.

The Retina iPhone has a resolution lower than the norm for HD, so it's by definition not "high", it is what it is.
And I see you resorting to sales now, is it because of the lack of arguments ?

My argument is people aren't concerned about ultra HD on a phone, when they weren't concerned about HD either. Not many people do intensive visual tasks on a phone.
If they were, the iPhone 5 wouldn't have pushed 80M+
On the Phablet Market, it's needed more. Poor Apple are struggling to make a one handed phablet and we shall properly see a 4.3" Phablet this year.
On the tablet market, it's more vital and HD iPad's have been the norm since the iPad 3. We're now at the 5th iPad.
The iPad Hydrogen will properly have the next screen upgrade.

Sis we're talking about Apple, people will massively buy their phones just because it's Apple, they obviously don't care about "HD/Quad Core/64Bit/Finger print" . You tried tho.
Anyway this is about us, people who have real knowledge, so having to bring the GP into this is irrelevant;

They do. No one bought the 5C. People wanted the fancy sensor and the new 64 core that was plastered over Apple's dramatic description as "better".
And sis, Quad Core apple? This isn't 2017
& that's true. But ATRL tech heads don't buy the phones. I'm just saying Samsung should be putting 2k into the tablet market, rather than the phone. It's overcapitalizing on a phone.
I mean, who is going to do intensive photo/video editing, watch their media library, and play full scale games on a 5" display?
I mean the Galaxy Tab 3 has a standard resolution and that's the mainstream Samsung tablet.

Why the heck do you care for HD and even 2K screens? Unless you get a 20/20 on the Snellen test you won't notice the diference above 300ppp.
That's a stupid feature, the more pixels you'll have, the more the CPU/GPU will have to process and the less the battery will last...
Apple products have the ideal resolution. End of discussion.

It was a general statement, hence the HD and Quad Core, that Apple doesn't have.
And I still don't get your point. OctaCores, finger prints and 16MPx (don't get me started on Nokia 32MPx) aren't that useful either, but at the end of the day we're talking about technology and one does not say no to innovation, no matter how "useful" it is.

Samsung keeps the same resolution as the S4, Apple stans will call it a S4 2.0
Samsung puts a 2K screen on it, Apple stans will call it useless (until Apple releases a 2K phone)
They can never win, can they ?

Apple don't need that Quad Core. The 5S was the faster than all the other phones on Geekbench.
Octa-cores are the stupidest thing I have seen. They do nothing except use power.
A Quad-core should be able to run Android and it's App's considering the A7 chip for the iPad Air & iPhone 5S was only dual core. The Octa Core would be no faster than running basic apps and the OS than a Quad.
My point is, when Samsung's latest frontline tablet has the same resolution as the iPad 1 from 2010, there is no use bragging about 2k on a 5" tablet (when you won't even notice the difference) when the tablet could used "high-res" at least.

iPhones are the pits. Slow to innovate. Tiny screens for people with tiny hands.
+, having a macbook and iPad, I don't want everything in the same boring ecosystem. Doubletwist >> iTunes/iPod music player anyhow
