01. Butterfly - Mariah Carey :: My personal Bible. I turn to it whenever I need spiritual guidance.

02. Music Box - Mariah Carey :: It was the first studio album by any artist that I had. I will always remember the lead up to Christmas 1994 when I knew I would get it. The Anticipation almost killed me.

03. Nobody Else - Take That :: Yes, In Europe, if you were a gay 10 year old, you probably loved the boys from Manchester and kissed their posters before going to bed. This was my 2nd ever music CD and the first one I bought with my pocket money. To this day, Never Forget is my alltime favourite song by any artist.

04. Folklore - Nelly Furtado :: As a German it is in my DNA to worship the little girl from Canada - as it was mandatory in school to pray to her before each lesson started. Folklore was the first studio album by anyone which I bought online in 2003.

05. Sing When you're winning - Robbie Williams :: Once again, as an European it was my duty to buy Robert's international break-through album. Well at the time, I downloaded it from Napster. Napster would close doors soon after, so I was lucky enough. Kids and Rock DJ are two of my anthems to this very day.

06. #1's - Mariah Carey :: This was the first album ever which I bought for myself as a christmas present in 1998. I believe When You Believe is my most played song of all times. I must have played it close to 1 million times. There was a time when I would only listen to that song and therefore this album.

Shakira - Laundry Service

"Laundry Service" was the very first album I've ever got into in my life so it had a huge impact in my musical taste. I was around 9 years old and I remember being crazy when "Whenever, Wherever" or "Underneath Your Clothes" played on the radio. I begged my parents to get me this CD and my love for Shakira was immediate.

Dido - Life For Rent

Dido was my first concert and therefore one of my first albums. I fell in love with her unique and soft tone and "Life For Rent" eventhough it's a mature album spoke to me in a very unique way as well. Eventhough I knew all the songs, this album become really important to me a few years after.

Britney Spears - In The Zone

You may think I've loved Britney Spears ever since her debut but I only knew her biggest songs ("...Baby One More Time", "(You Drive Me) Crazy" or "Oops!... I Did It Again") up until I was like 10 years old as music wasn't a big part of my life. When "Me Against The Music" came out and therefore "Toxic", I became obsessed with Britney. The "Toxic" music video was one of the best things I had seen in my life. This was the first album I ever knew each song by heart and introduced me to Britney's world.

Britney Spears - Blackout

I am sure not many of you have been through this but stanning for someone who was in the spotlight for every mode she made and being told by everyone how bad she was doing and that I'd be lucky if she was alive within two months, "Blackout" gave me hope. Sonically, we all know how amazing it is but I also have to say that "Blackout" is more than a group of songs, it has a huge meaning to me and to a lot of Britney fans, I am certain.

Fifth Harmony - 7/27

At this stage of my life (I am 23), I feel like my music taste is defined and fully developed but I used to be very cautious when introduced to new acts. I've always been very judgmental as well since my generation is now long past and I feel like they didn't struggle as much but my love for Fifth Harmony was so sudden and so deep and "7/27" is a representation of that. Just like "Blackout", I am not only focusing on the group of songs included on the album but how it made me love them to a whole new level.

HM to Evanescence's "Fallen" who allowed me to go beyond Pop Music.

This album was a HUGE part of my childhood. I was so obsessed
with Gaga in 2009-2012, and this album (including The Fame) changed my life.



Such an amazing album. I love every song. It hasn't really
"changed" my life, but it's one of my top favorite albums of all time.



This is the album that made me really get in to Alanis' music,
even though it took me so many listens to finally hear in full.
Her lyrics on this album are mind-blowingly brilliant.



I decided to put this Madonna album instead of any of her others
because it's the first Madonna album I ever heard, I heard it
months before I listened to her discography though.



I remember in 2013 when I bought this CD at Best Buy after
seeing her all over Tumblr, I listened to it in full and fell in love with Lana.
She really had an impact on my life in junior high, and it got
me into a new genre of music.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I'd like to include American Life by Madonna as an honorable mention.
I used to listen to this album a lot during sophomore year or whenever I was in a bad mood. It made me happy.
