Taylor's albums are all within the same range. They show literally no growth. She just plays it safe with all her albums and gets a good score because she is telling a very obvious story in her album by blatantly revealing the secrets of her last celebrity relationship.
Beyonce on the other hand is only one point behind Taylor. Yet she showed tremendous growth as an artist and took risks with her albums - some failed and others succeeded. I..ASF is an example of a failed album conceptually that bought down her score but since then, her albums have grown in acclaim with each release to make her the more acclaimed artist.

If that was the case all the big pop stars would be acclaimed.

But I didn't. If you want to respond to my post, stick to what I said otherwise you don't make sense. I never claimed that Bey being the most rewarded artist at the BET (for instance) was an evidence of her being more acclaimed than Taylor.
And Swift having the "most awarded country album ever" does not put her above Bey. Idek why I'm arguing on this when this receipt doesn't mean anything considering that Bey has never touched that genre

But when it comes to the mixed/general categories (big 4), Taylor won 2 AOTY which put her above Bey

Beyonce can get those random ass Grammy thats no one care about, even her hardcore fans cannot name them without a quick trip to Wikipedia.
While Taylor is acclaim as one of the greateast songwriter of all time. And get all the biggest award at such young age in both country and pop gerne.

Beyoncé.
Not the Swifties bragging about AOTY when in fact, it was because of their fave winning that invalidated the category

Stop reading after the first two sentences. You must be deaf to not realize how Taylor grown as an artist.
Debut. Fearless. Speak now. Red. Fearless.
She wrote the entire album by herself
Completely switch gerne
And lets me not get into hows her lyric change throughtout the year. Cause surely you wont be able to understand the artistry in songwriting. Keep listen to Beyonces stolen corny lyrics, nothing wrong with that.

Yall Taylor stans really think that acclaim comes down to AOTY awards (an award that takes into account other factors, as evidenced by 1989 not being the most acclaimed album out of the nominees and still winning that award) when it does not. Prince, Aretha Franklin, Madonna and shitloads of other artists never won it in spite of being the amongst the most acclaimed artists of all-time

Nobody said the acclaim comes down to AOTY only but it doesn't change the fact that it is the highest recognition in music industry. Every single artist perched for it even Kanye himself. I don't get it why the Hives are trying to discredit Taylor's AOTY??
You guys still can't move on and accept the reality that Bey lost AOTY to Beck which nothing to do with Taylor at all. I'm pretty sure the story would be different if Bey wins AOTY.
And we all know that when we are talking about acclaim, Grammy will be the first one comes to our mind

Awards, especially the Grammys, even more so the televised categories DO NOT MEAN CRITICAL ACCLAIM. To a big extent they mean popularity. Let's use an example. Janelle Monáe is easily one of the most acclaimed female artists these days, BUT she's not super successful/popular, so she's not gonna get *****d out at award shows cuz people don't tune in to see Janelle Monáe win awards. Simple. And she's only a halfway known/popular example. There are many more artists that are just as or even more acclaimed, but virtually unknown and would therefore never receive a Grammy nom cuz people would just be like, "Who dat?" Sooo, what it boils down to is that not every artist even has the chance to win AOTY, no matter how acclaimed or qualitative their material is. Period.

Oh wow, 2/100s of artists that receive more acclaim than most Grammy nominees every year. Also, neither won AOTY or ever would.

Oh, I don't even know AOTY is the only category matter for you. It must be something really special about it

His point is that only commercially viable artist would win Grammys, especially AOTY. What is sp difficult about it for you to grasp?

Grammys are about too many non-acclaim things to be considered a good measure of acclaim.
To begin with, has Taylor Swift ever released a song as acclaimed as ... Crazy in Love? Even Single Ladies or Countdown?
Let us not get delusional and say any of her pre-1989 albums is critically acclaimed? When they've only received cute MC scores and nothing remarkable thereafter? Certainly not comparable to Beyoncé's most recent two LPs or even 4, which in fact has made quite a lot of YE lists.
Her winning two AOTYs is a remarkable feat and by no means undeserved (sorry Kendrick fans!), but the reason is that they pulled a mini-21. Not because they were massively revered masterpieces.
