Yeah, that's right. However you should mention that western/european christian states do not condone homophobia. We have no sharia and our legislation is a secular one. So religion is not the grounding of our law, as it happens for most of the Islamic states....
that's a huge difference.
However in the past we were not that different.... but claiming that there's no diffence right now, in the time we live, kinda equates to being blind....
Moreover you can't deny that a huge part of Christianity is slowly turning into acceptance in the West. We have equal marriage/civil unions almost everywhere and gay people actually have RIGHTS (while the number of agnostic and atheist people is increasing as well)... so.... I think Muslins shouldn't be defended at all in this... just like bigoted Christians usually aren't in our countries for their bigotry.
