I don't think he was doubting Britney's status as a gay icon, that has nothing to do with having a gay anthem.

I love my girl Britney and it's obvious that she has a huge gay fan base, but I would argue that she lacks an actual "gay anthem" among her catalogue. But when I think of underground/true gay anthems--not the really commercial ones like SL, but the ones that only gays love--much of Britney's music comes to mind.

Some examples:

Breathe On Me
I'm a Slave 4 U
Radar
Get Naked (I Got a Plan)
Piece of Me

You're embarrassing yourself honey, just let it go.... you obviously have the word ANTHEM confused with something else. Britney does not have a single song in her catalog that is a GAY ANTHEM.

Yes, I agree that gays love her songs but, I dunno... none of them feel like an anthem of freedom or celebration, just gay party music. Oddly enough, I would say the same for Kylie Minogue (or maybe I just can't think of a song atm). Stronger comes close though... does she even perform that song anymore though?
