I love Santigold but I'm not feeling this as much as her other 2 albums. This sounds as eclectic and all over the place as her first album(which I love but this is true) did but the tracks just aren't as consistently good to make up for it like debut's was. There are things on this I love (Rendezvous Girl,Banshee, Who Be Loving Me, Run The Races) but too much of this are like crazy ideas that just didn't fully work or even fit the theme and concept of the album (Outside the War).
The album isn't bad it's just solid and not great.
Imo she should've just fully embraced the concept of 99c and everything in culture now being a commodity for sale and done a cohesive pop album with insane Santigold witty lyrics and quirk like most of the first half of the album is and scraped the weird **** that just didn't work like Outside the War and a lot of the bottom half.
