But some countries, like Brazil, get TOO MUCH into the World Cup spirit, that it becomes annoying for people who are not super fans of soccer, like me, I prefer sports you use your hands or swimming... The country practically stops during the FIFA World Cup season....
To be honest I'm not even particularly into football, I just enjoy the world cup BBQs and the fact that (here comes the cheese) even if it's only for a few weeks people everywhere from Uraguay to England to the Ivory Coast all have something in common. It's just kind of a uniting sort of thing that I think you don't get at the Olympics much or any other sports event.
I hope they release the Shakira song in the UK but that Oh Africa song is dominating all the world cup advertising so not sure how it would do.

& ^ I actually didn't like it at the first listen (that was yesterday), but since Katy is my girl I gave her more tries, and I still wasn't fond of it, but today I woke up with the chorus in my mind (and the Oh Oh Ohs) and now I can't stop listening
