Reeces' Best Of '08: Top 30 Albums (25-24)
25. Day26 - Day26
Released: March 25th
Genre: R&B
Producers: Diddy, Mario Winans, Bryan-Michael Cox, The Runners, Jim Beanz, Adonis, Danja
US Billboard 200: #1
The next album comes from Day26, the first new artist to be mentioned so far. I didn't pay too much attention to their season of Making The Band, but I already knew the direction they were gonna follow after I heard Exclusive (No Excuses), which I loved at first listen. The album is mostly R&B mid-tempos about love relationships, second single Since You've Been Gone being my favorite and the best in the album in my opinion. Overall, it's a great R&B record and I feel they did an excellent job considering this is their debut album, and I'm sure that if they would've been promoted better, the album would've been a huge hit, blame Diddy and his arrogant self.

24. Jazmine Sullivan - Fearless
Released: September 23rd
Genre: R&B, Soul
Producers: Jazmine Sullivan, Missy Elliott, Stargate, Lamb, Salaam Remi, Carvin & Ivan, Fistcuffs, Anthony Bell, Jack Splash, Wyclef Jean
US Billboard 200: #6
I never intended on listenting to this album, let alone making my list this year. First single Need U Bad never caught my attention, I guess I was curious to see what was the all the hype around her. Jazmine's powerful voice is the main attraction of every track, truly one of the best voices in music right now. The album is also great lyrically, listen to Bust Your Windows, Fear, Lions, Tigers & Bears, and you will see what I'm talking about. She is already being compared to talents like Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige, and with already a few Grammy nominations, I'm sure 2009 is gonna be a great year for her. I can't believe I almost missed out on this album.
- "Bust Your Windows"
- "Call Me Guilty"
- "Lions, Tigers & Bears"
- "Fear"
- "Dream Big"
