I honestly think that Rihanna is the next big star after Britney.

Now Rihanna didn't have the huge phenomen rise to starsome like Britney but she has consantly been growing with each era. Greay album, single sales and can even sale out stadiums.

Her music, fashion, and life have effected this generation some type of way more so than anypop star.

Britney was a decade long infatuation. It was originally all about her music, then became about her breakdown(s) (ala Lindsay/Bieber, what ever). Katy and Gaga are megastars of similar calibre but it's difficult to compare them to her infamy.

She was the IT girl for a solid 1999-2003. During that time she was everywhere. Hit albums, singles, tours, merchandise, even a video game!
She took advantage of media in 2007 during her breakdown and was once again everywhere. HUNDREDS of magazine covers, she has 70 People Magazine covers to be exact, headlines EVERYDAY. The use of youtube, TMZ and starting social media even made it bigger.
Then once they tore her completely down, she rose back up again, and once again EVERYONE was here for her. Everyone was rooting for her, this was her 2nd career wise peak, and the stats prove it.

As for other people reaching Britney's level. No never. Britney is on the level of MJ/MADONNA,

Once again, ATRL overrating Britney's success. She was successful but not untouchable. Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy and Adele were just as big as Britney in terms of success.

So I'm pretty sure there will come an artist who will be just as big as them.
