It's weird how she only had a 4(3?)(2?)-minute cameo, but she was used heavily in the promotion! The film used her as a draw & based their promo around her. So whether she had a 1 minute cameo or not, the opening reflects what she is capable of at the box office because the promo used her heavily.

i just saw the movie and honesty, i didn't think it was bad. it was another typical robert rodriguez/grindhouse/b-movie type film. Gaga was actually good (her part was blink or you'll miss it) but i think she nailed the role. The plot definitely needed work, but this movie was no disaster.

You're kidding right? Headlining the VMAs and covering an issue of Vogue directly attributes her to them. Had she been the star of this film or even billed as a co-star than it would be embarrassing. But she was billed as one of several celebrity cameos. You can't drag her star power for that lol

Besides, no one was even expecting this to go number one. Every bit of excitement was surrounding the fact that she was in a blockbuster movie at all.
