True but you'd think he would still create 'hit' records like he does with Beyonce. It's like all of his creativity is gone and her gives other artists B-List tracks outside of like 2-3 tracks. His songs just fall flat

Well, according to a credible person On TBH.com Bang was originally on BEYONCÉ before she she changed directions. He said Nicole sang it that same as the demo and Beyoncé changed it around and added a crazy bridge. Her version is called "Throw it Up". So it's not him.

Partly it is based on money aswell, and the fact that Nicole has no direction herself what to do.
If you get Beyoncé in your studio, you have artistry, you have millions of ideas, you get someone with coins.

When Big Fat Lie was created, you got a failing artist with no label at that point, material funded by herself, and someone who's musical direction has been lost since her former label cancelled her first solo record.

So it has to do with several factors, but I truly believe money also played a role in it. Because we are talking about the man who crafted Umbrella, Single Ladies which are world dominating smashes. And then you get BFL as album (which I as stan love) which doesn't include any undeniable smash.

As soon as I listened to 4, it seemed like a real trend-chasing album. "Run the World" didn't fit with much of anything, but they already had that song mixed and ready. Ballads and "authentic" sounding music, so I wouldn't be surprised if some tracks were slowed down like "1+1" and had more piano added like "BTINH". Haha Beyoncé fans aren't used to hearing criticism about her, huh?

Please explain your "criticism." What similarities are shared between 4 and 21 aside from the title being a number?

It's not about criticism, it is about comparing two albums that basically sound NOTHING alike. Most of the stuff on 4 wasn't even "trend" when the album came out. Whether we talk about End Of Time, Countdown or other songs on the record.

I mean fine if you feel that way, but for me it is a really odd comparison and since we are on a discussion forum, it is normal people wonder where this odd comparison comes from. But I still don't see where you are coming from.

Your criticisms make no sense. Everyone was releasing euro-dance oriented music in 2011 except Adele. That was the year LMFAO, Jason Derulo, Pitbull, Rihanna, Gaga were ruling the charts with dance music. Adele was the exception. Im pretty sure R&B music was barely in the top 10 that year. Besides speculation is not a valid form of criticism!

There was nothing trend-chasing about 4. She put out a throwback R&B album at the peak of the dance-pop craze. RTW might not have "fit" on the album sonically but it's on there for a reason and she made it the first single for a reason. She explained that.
