Welcome to my Best Of 2011!
Hello! I know I'm a little late. Unfourtunately, when the "Best Of" time came on, I was very busy with my final exams and tests and I did not have time to finish it, actually I barely started it. Since I'm on my holidays and I have a lot of free time, I decided to do it now (with permition) and Vato (ATRL Moderator) will transfer the thread to the Best Of area once it opens again!
Doing this type of lists take time and a lot of work and dedication, I tried to be as fair as possible with myself.
Today I will be presenting to you my...
Favorite 100 Singles of last year! Here We Go!
Let's move on to music!
This is probably the most important category, it's really about the music that we are all here and a lot of great tunes were released last year. Believe me, do this Top 100 was so hard, I took more than a month to figure out which song was better, I really had a rough time and even now I'm not sure, I might change one or other while updating the best of! Anyway let's start with ten that almost made the top 100!
110. Colbie Caillat - Brighter Than The Sun
I am not a Colbie fan at all, but this song reminds of the sun, the summer and you know just the idea of having a good time. It's a very happy song and there wasn't any better way to start this countdown than with this!
(First and only single from Colbie Caillat )
109. Kelly Rowland - Motivation (feat. Lil' Wayne)
We move on from a very sweet and summerish song to a very sexy song from Kelly Rowland, ex-Destiny Child. I think she kind of delivered with this song, it's very hot although I have been thinking she must get a lot of motivation with Lil' Wayne, if you know what I mean...
(First out of two singles from Kelly Rowland // First out of two singles from Lil' Wayne)
108. Snoop Dogg - Wet
Time for a little dance mixed with hip hop delivered by Snoop Dogg. I think Snoop Dogg has this kind of reputation as a badass rapper but he really can work many music styles and that's amazing. I can't believe my mother likes this song, but anyway it's nice to dance.
(First and only single from Snoop Dogg)
107. will.i.am - T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever) (feat. Jennifer Lopez & Mick Jagger)
I really enjoy the sound of this song, it's hot and different, although Will has tried this type of music in BEP's last album (that wasn't that good). I think Jennifer Lopez makes the song, she sounds very fierce and I love the Michael Jackson tribute (LOL). I think Mick Jagger isn't very noticed in this song, I blame it on the song structure and to be quite honest his part isn't even good.
(First and only single from will.i.am and from Mick Jagger // First out of four singles from Jennifer Lopez)
106. Paramore - Monster
Paramore are that kind of group who is kind of rockish and stuff but their songs are so catchy even if it's not their intention. I haven't payed much attention to them since they started doing songs for Twilight, but this one turned out good, I guess.
(First and only single from Paramore)
105. LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It
Okay, I'm not a big fan of LMFAO and this is the only song charting from them eventhough I kind of like Party Rock Anthem but I don't know, just not as much, if this was a top that had 120 they would have two songs charting, since not, well. I really like the beat of the song it's very different from everything and very party, well, normal. I guess that one thing that made me like this song was Madonna's performance at Super Bowl.
(First and only single from LMFAO)
104. Shania Twain - Today Is Your Day
When it first came out I was in love, it sounded so good and so epic, but then it started losing its magic and it doesn't sound as good but I still love the song and the country vibe in it. It ended up flopping harder than anything but you know it was cool to watch. I love Shania!
(First and only single from Shania Twain)
103. Beyoncé - Party (feat. J. Cole)
This is the worst track from her album, 4, so if she had release her entire album (she is not far from doing that), all the songs would be charting, LOL! I really love that album and when I first put together, you know, a first try of what this countdown would be, this was at #110, but then I thought: "Ok this can work a little bit higher" and here it is!
(First out of eight singles from Beyoncé // First and only single from J. Cole)
102. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper
Well, this grew on me, when I first heard it I was like "Oh poor you", but well, ended up being better. I still find it a little overrated, it didn't deserve all the love it had but it's normal due to the situation. Jennifer Love Hewitt was crazy about it, jesus.
(First and only single from Demi Lovato)
101. Jessie And The Toy Boys - Push It (feat. Yelawolf)
Most of you won't know this girl, but she opened some shows of the amazing Femme Fatale Tour. I really enjoy this song, it's so catchy and fun, it was supposed to make Top 100 but I changed some stuff! I dislike the rapper part but that pre-chorus is just too epic.
(First and only single from Jessie and The Toy Boys and from Yelawolf)

Cher Lloyd
Swagger Jagger
Sticks + Stones
Pop |
The first time I heard this song I was in a club and I was like "this is hot!", and you know it's very catchy and very dancy although it's a very wannabe a badass song and it makes me LOL, I bet she didn't perform it at V Festival, people would've threw more pee bottles to her, I like her though, I enjoy the song but you know it's so weird her image doesn't exactly fit this kind of songs, anyway good job because it's very catchy!
(First and only single from Cher Lloyd)

Kelly Rowland
Lay It On Me (feat. Big Sean)
Here I Am
R&B |
This song is so sexual, as usual from Kelly Rowland, but I really enjoy it and it has this "happy" feeling on it which is great, because it sounds better and Kelly Rowland's voice work on that type of songs. She looks extremely hot in the video!
(Two out of two singles from Kelly Rowland // First and only single from Big Sean)

Jennifer Lopez
On The Floor (feat. Pitbull)
Love?
Pop |
This is Jennifer Lopez' worst single to date and I still not a big fan of it but you know it's J.Lo so I kinda feel the need of including the song on it. Besides, it can be catchy as hell and stick in your head so that's my excuse to chart it!
(Two out of four singles from Jennifer Lopez // First out of two singles from Pitbull)

Bruno Mars
Grenade
Doo-Wops & Hooligans
R&B |
Bruno has an amazing voice and is damn talented, but I find him a little overrated, I think I've already said this on this best of, but I tend to dislike people who are way too love, seems like people go over the top about it. This song kinda is overrated but not that much so I decided to include it, it also annoys me how he is like the biggest victim on earth, but yeah good enough!
(One out of two singles from Bruno Mars)

Black Eyed Peas
XOXOXO
The Beginning
Electronic |
I love this song! I really enjoy the lyrics about the xo and the video made me love it more, eventhough it wasn't official, those cartoons are so cute! I feel like this last BEP era was underrated, not like there was too much to love, but this song did deserve more love! I find it sweet!
(One out of two singles from Black Eyed Peas)

Tony Bennett
Body and Soul (feat. Amy Winehouse)
Duets II
Jazz |
This is a little out of my usual field, I don't really listen to jazz eventhough I think it's a very relaxing and pretty music style. What helps this song is Amy Winehouse, for me, her voice always makes anything good. As I said it's a very relaxing style and this song proves it and a very classy one, how cute.
(One and only single from Tony Bennett and from Amy Winehouse)

Justin Bieber
Never Say Never (feat. Jayden Smith)
My World 2.0
Pop |
I was such a Bieber disliker before this song. It's just too catchy and this isn't bad at all, this is actually great. I really enjoy and if hadn't more respect for some other artists this could chart higher! I really find it great and proves Bieber can make good music! I used to say this was his best song but with this new album out, I changed my mind.
(One and only single from Justin Bieber and from Jayden Smith)

Joe Jonas
Just In Love
Fastlife
Pop |
Joe Jonas didn't really have a good album it was quite boring but this second single is great and catchy. It sounds fresh and very relaxing, the beat is nice to listen to. The song is a bit cheesy but I don't know it is just cute.
(One and only single from Joe Jonas)

Mika
Elle Me Dit
The Origin Of Love
Pop |
Okay, I don't get the some part of the song eventhough I speak some french but the rhythm of the song is just too cute and I love Mika. He always brings something original and I'm completely for it, repeated songs are always in, too bad this great and original tracks don't get much attention! Can't wait for his third album!
(One and only single from Mika)

Simple Plan
Astronaut
Get Your Heart On!
Punk Rock |
I wish I could chart this one higher, it's just too catchy and pretty but the competition is a little big and seriously I better leave the chart as it is, I'll regret it eventually. I was supposed to make Jet Lag chart but I realized it's not that good.
(One and only single from Simple Plan)
