My theory is, too many people depend on TV and their friends judgment to tell them what to like. America consits of shallow ass people too ***** to make their own choices. It's clearly reflected in the musical aspect and people get called "weird" or "wack" for not liking **** like "Lollipop".
This is why I feel the digital chart should be used as our country's chart just like EVERY OTHER DAMN COUNTRY. It shows what is REALLY popular in that it shows what people are willing to PAY for. We would have marvelous #1s this year such as "Viva la Vida" and "4 Minutes."
AS WELL AS:
"Low" , "Lollipop", "Love In This Club" etc. There's really no way to escape what your are trying to escape. Lil Wayne would also have debuted @ #6 on the chart.

The thing is, people are bandwagon hoppers. The shifting tides in music are a reflection of how weak-willed people are...think for your ****ing selves.
Why are artists like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers popular? Because Radio Disney and other horrible sources shove this **** down my sister's throat, not because it's genuinely good.
I sez, bring back two cool ass shows that introduced me to ALL KINDS OF MUSIC, and then let me judge for myself: Show 1 Show 2
All I'm gonna say is that 'Bleeding Love' is a masterpiece and I like it and even if no one else does I don't care cus it doesn't stop me enjoying it and I'm saying that about any song/artist I like really I just used Leona cus you mentioned her in the first post and like 90% of my friends dislike all the music on my iPod and idk doesn't influence me to stop listening to it and I don't think it should for anyone else cus theres no point listening to Lil Wayne just because all your friends do if you can't stand him and that goes for Leona aswell.

I agree, and I understand what you are saying. People do go with what thier friends are listening to. It's like if it sounds diffrent they won't like it.
People like what they like, and hate whaty they hate. If they hate rap music, then I don't give a f***.
