Gone Girl is amazing! I loved it. Read the whole thing on my flight home from a vacation in Miami two years ago. I love everything Gillian Flynn has written! I bought her first novel Sharp Objects at an airport not knowing anything about it, and I was addicted! Dark Places is also really good. So for those who liked Gone Girl, definitely check those out

I'm currently reading Night Film by Marisha Pessl.


I'm really loving it this far, and I like the way the book is written. Throughout the book you have website screenshots from articles that play a part in the story, and it gives you the sense that you are researching the topic yourself. Really clever!

Next on my list is The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair, which apparently has been really popular!

I've finally got round to reading Eleanor & Park and HSIJSAOFJAWIOEFJ IT'S SO ****ING CUTE. I'm already like 60 pages in and I love it so much. After reading chunky, heavy fantasy stuff lately this is a really welcome change of pace.

Might stay up tonight just so I can finish it as soon as I can. It's giving me all of the feelz.

We all nominate and vote for a book to read for a specific week/month/whatever, then we all read it, then we all discuss that book. Then the system starts again. It'd be a really good way for us all to read different types of books we might not normally choose ourselves. ^__^

There was a Goodreads group for the old ATRL Book Club ran by Lee!! (I think) but I dunno the link to it. Could be cool to start a new one though if enough people are interested.

I finished I Am The Messenger (Zusak) the other day, and I think I still have a hangover from reading it. Really good and the ending was quite mind-boggling.

Eleanor and Park is adorable. Fangirl and Attachments are both on my TBR

I started reading 172 Hours on the Moon today and I'm obsessed. I legit can't put it down. Read 270+ pages today and thinking about pushing through and finishing it today if I can. It's sooooo good and so creepy, probs gonna have nightmares tonight but I don't give a ****.

edit: nvm lol, finished it an hour later. amazing book.

I've been meaning to read this. Red Rising and Half-Bad are both being touted as the next big things in publishing. I don't know if I believe it. I had to put down Half-Bad just today and I'm only 100 pages in. I think I'll pick up Red Rising after I get done with Cuckoo's Calling.

Red Rising was slow for the first, oh, 2-4 chapters. I put it down for a few days because of that. But when the story gets going, its amazing. It's a bit dark for a YA novel, which was refreshing. The ending had me sitting in my seat not knowing what to do with my life.

It already has a movie deal, too.

Half-Bad is on my TBR shelf on my nook as well.

I'm reading A Walk To Remember as of now. I kinda got into a book-break and it's the first book I'm really into for quite a while.
