I still think her label should push "Wildest Moments" in the U.S., that could be the "Someone Like You" of this fall/winter. Hot AC should eat her music up, too. Overall, it is a very solid debut album, one that eclipses Lana Del Rey's Born To Die, Alex Winston's King Con and Our Version Of Events from Emelie Sande as the best debut album from a female solo artist that I've heard this year. It's also one of the best albums of the year, in my top 10 at the moment.

Taking In Water is an unmitigated MASTERPIECE. Everything about it is perfect. The harmonies after the verses, the subtle bell jingles, the powerful chorus, and the ominous ending.

I agree. The song has the potential to do great things for her. And ironically, I suggested "Taking In Water" because it's the one that sounds more Adele-ish. Jessie is on a league of her own, of course.

I love how this album is basically transcending some standards in contemporary soul/R&B by also incorporating an electronic music edge without losing any bit of soul.

I love the song and I regard it as the emotional peak of the album.

What I meant is that it's the only song on the album the gets the closest to sounding as a conventional ballad. That doesn't disrupts its quality at all, it just makes it more accessible.

I sat in the car for an hour straight, with 110% on repeat . What i like about the album is it's not your usual "ballady/soul album", but it incorporates so many different themes. I think she could make it in US. I can only see Emeli blocking her path, but she will get plenty of love on Hot AC. It's fair to say she is still a relative unknown in the UK.
