SPICA Their flop attempt at a US Debut actually charting somewhere this year . Although they barely promoted this (there are only 2 live performances of it ) I thought this was a pretty decent attempt to get some exposure in the states, it's nothing we haven't heard before yes but it's pretty catchy and is somewhat in the same vein as popular songs such as All About The Bass and what not. Their english is comprehendible, their vocals are on point and their rapper is serving during the bridge
Sushi once again struck gold after digging through their favorite demo pool artist Ke$ha with their version of "Chain Reaction". Initially one of my favorite unreleased Ke$ha songs from long ago, Sushi did this song justice and provided another flawless bop in their Japanese career. This song also slays because anytime sushi attempt at incorporating rapping into their sings i'm slain so hard
Another one of PhoMinute's album tracks making it into my list, Wait A Minute is just another one of their flawless album openers to add to the many they already have in their discography. It definitely does the perfect job of setting the mood for the whole album as well as setting the mood for the track following "Watcha Doin Today?". It's such a fun upbeat track and filled with personality I think this should be the direction of the groups' sound if they aren't going back to their flawless "HuH" & "Volume Up" days. The lyrics to the song also gimme Wonder Girls "R.E.A.L" teas which is a plus
Another one of Tomomi's flawless singles this year making the list but just barely missing the Top 100 at #101. Crush is in everyway pop perfection, never a dull moment within the song and Tomo sounds great on the track as well. The Chorus is just addictive as **** and Tomo's fast talking rap is a cute addition. She also served visuals in the video for it
Honestly all the songs before the Top 100 were kind of just honorable mentions and a way to get the ball rolling
excuse the messy ranking of some of them nnnnnn
Starting off the Top 100 are vocal queens 15& and their lead single "Sugar" off their first full length album with the same title. A bit rough around the edges and noisy throughout the song Sugar is nonetheless a flawless bop and A complete grower for me! Jimin's rap during the bridge was some unexpected slayage, homegirl can spit some rhymes and fast aswell
After jumping ship from girl group KARA months ago and having them find a new replacement, Nicole decided to debut as a soloist and her debut track MAMA is all types of slayage from the choreography, to the video, to the song itself it's a shame she didn't smash harder in Korea. There's something about this song that's so inciting and euphoric i can't tell if it's the production of it or Nicole serving some sort emotion through her vocals but I really enjoy listening to it
Queen Tomomi her reign on my list coming for GOT7's wig! This album is all sorts of life from Tomomi's attempt of rapping on the verses and serving personality, to the random bits of english, to the bopping chorus I'm gonna need Tomo to stay Ratchet, serving me what Tanaka Alice failed to with her 2nd mini album
Their first and last single all in one 4Ladies only lasted beyond their debut probably because their overly done and in your face sexy concept was a biT too much for Korea to handle, I mean the scratching crouch move alone is so awkward and uncomfortable. But beyond the video's messiness and confusion 4Ladies actually served quite a little bop with Move giving us some latin flare to the K-pop scene
Taedaddy managing to scalp me bald once again 4 years after his first solo album nldkfjlkdf Body is a pretty great bop and has so much american appeal to it and Taeyang is serving sex with his vocals on the track but the real highlight of the song is both it's catchy and poppin chorus and CLord her 2second vocal cameo's. Honestly i feel this song could of slayed me harder if the good sis Chaerin had a legit feature on it
Not when this exotic masterpiece was given the B-side treatment and "Lead The Way" was promoted instead, what kind severe injustice??? This song goes AWF and has me unleashing my inner Arabian princess video vixen self everytime it comes on. The bridge alone has me belly dancing and breaking my back like no tomorrow
The superior of Rain's two comeback single's and my favorite song off his latest album, Rain definitely served with this track giving us that matador anthem for the ages and not to mention the amount of things I'd let King do to me after watching the video for the song ldkjdklajsd serving me amazing choreography and testosterone levels
After finally smashing at #1 last year with their brave sound produced hit "What's Your Name?", 4Minute cameback this year with an even better anthem "Watcha' Doin Today?" produced by the same producers. I really enjoy the sense of happiness throughout the song and the fact it sounds like something you'd play at a kids party but on steroids Watching the Music video just makes the song 100x better considering how completely random, colorful and wacky it is and the choreo is also one of those you just wanna learn cause it looks easy and fun.
