One obvious mention is Google+.
But more interesting to me are the non-Western ones. Several of the largest social networking sites in the world are virtually completely unknown to Westerners. QQ, RenRen, and Sina Weibo are all colossal. Sina Weibo even got a lot of attention because the level of interaction on the site is reportedly far beyond Twitter, with the average message being "re-tweeted", so to say, 10x as much as the Tweet.
At any rate, some of these "invisible" colossi are the reason Gaga is still ranked #1 atop the world social media charts. For example, SC, which is, to my knowledge, the most extensive social media-ranking platform available to the public, ranks based on a much larger pool of social networking sites than most people here are accustomed to. These are their leaders:
1. Lady Gaga (47,402)
2. Justin Bieber (41,970)
3. Rihanna (40,683)
