Britney has more than doubled beyonce's solo album sales. While Beyonce has crushed Britney in grammy wins. Their career average on metacritic is only 3 points apart though and their highest scores are only 1 point apart. Metacritic is a better representation of critical acclaim than the grammys since it averages together the scores of a variety of critics. So basically beyonce doesn't have very much more critical acclaim than britney, while britney has much more commercial sucess.
Britney only has two huge sellers and that is only because of the times they weer released
It's a huge difference in ONE measure of critical acclaim. But when it comes to critical acclaim as a whole, they aren't that far apart.
But in the other list that i posted Beyonce wins by another measure as well. And probably the best measure. Beyonce is more critically acclaimed. Like it or not. Even commercially she has the 2nd most successful song on Radio of all time. Her highest selling single has also outsold Brit.
But Britney peaked at her debut. Beyonce is more consistant. There is a reason why she is more certified and why Billboard named her female artist of the decade with 3 albums.
Most critically acclaimed female (popular) acts of the 00's.
1 (10) M.I.A.
2 (20) Missy Elliott
3 (35) Amy Winehouse
4 (48) Beyoncé
5 (55) Björk
6 (80) Madonna
7 (82) Kylie Minogue.
Britney is not more acclaimed.
Beyonce is more certified because her lable bothers to certify her albums and singles, not because she is more commercially successful.
I never said Briteny was more acclaimed.
Beyonce being more consistent does not make her more successful.
Yes. In a forum overrun by Britney fans who are not even willing (most) to use stats or even explain their reasoning....

At the end of the day we both know who got the Female artist of the Decade awar, Radio artist of the Decade award, more weeks at #1, more top 10s, more top 5s, more certifications, more critical acclaim etc.
